I used to look at lots of french movies.
It helps me improve my french .... but also find out interesting things about they culture related to love stories.
Last movie i saw ... was about the influence of alcohol in love stories ... and the way all can be ruined because of the moments when we start to act unconsciously on the stage of life.
Movie starts with a scene ... showing us a guy dancing on a table, in a nice restaurant ... making striptease for all the ladies which were at that event.
He was extremely ... drunk.
Wife was trying to stop him .... but all the people around were applauding ... laughing and encouraging him to continue the pathetic show.
The bride came and putted money on the table for him ... saying load ... "You are the best stripper in the world ... my friend."
The show continued ... until one point ... when seeing he's already very tired ... wife convinced him to get dressed and go home.
Next day ... at the breakfast he was so, so ashamed ... and tried to honestly apologised ... "Listen ... i am sorry! I just drunk too much ... and lost the control on myself!"
Wife looked into his eyes and replied ... "It's not the first time ... and most probably... not the last".
Then she leaved the apartment ... going to work.
One year later ... the same couple goes to a party ... and this time she starts to drink.
.... cocktail after cocktail.
One friend of him ... comes and asks him to show his new convertible car and have a ride.
He says to his wife ... and then they leave.
Meanwhile ... a guy ... who was single in there ... comes to the wife, seduces her and takes her into one of the bedrooms from upstairs.
The husband comes ... looks after her ... and finds them in that room ... 1 second before as them to start making love.
Takes her from there ... they jump into the car ... and go back to Paris.
Next day ... at the breakfast she was so, so ashamed ... and tried to honestly apologise ... "Listen ... i am sorry! I just drunk too much ... and lost the control on myself!"
Husband looked into her eyes and replies... "It's not the first time ... and most probably... not the last".
Then he leaves the apartment ... going to work.
Movie itself looked little bit ... having trends ... of nonsense ... but it was the real proof of what happens when we lose the control on ourselves ... allowing alcohol to dominate us.
We become ... and act unconsciously ... doing stupid things ... and ... ruining all ...
Maybe the whole message of the movie was ... "Please never allow something to dominate you in such a way ... that will make you lose the connection with the conscience!".
But i also dare to ask myself ... why people act the way they act ... while being under the influence of the unconscious?!
What reveals that?!
Maybe ... the husband dreamed to be a stripper ... adored of every women seeing him dancing.
And also ... his wife unconsciously dreamed of making love with another man ... which will really know to make her feel alive in bed.
But ... what i find funny ... is that I strongly believe that into the french culture ... the influence of the unconscious side into our lives is somehow tolerated ... no matter of its representation.
Even if in fact .... those moments might ruin lots of things from our current reality.
And ... more i try to understand the ability of the french people of being open minded in front of the unconscious side of the human being ... more I understand ... we should all try to ... at least ... re analyse the subject.
See it .... as a real case scenario ... that should not be denied.
Accepted ...
And ... maybe we should ask ourselves if it's actually a signal which could make us deeply understand things ... which normally we can't understand.
Into the end ... i agree that always acting consciously is not ... optional .... but i am also aware that i we should ask ourselves what is the message beyond the unconscious behaviour on the stage of life ... and dare to accept all ... as it is.
Be ... more open minded ... in front of real case scenarios.
